1) Japanese Spring in the Botanical Garden:
Once again we’d like to invite you to celebrate the Japanese spring with us in the Botanical Garden in Lodz!
Between 24-26 February everyone who is interested is Japan will get a chance to see exhibitions dedicated to Japanese culture and participate in interesting lectures and workshops. You’ll find the detailed
Friday, 24 February – official opening of the exhibition.
Saturday, 25 February – lectures:
Emilia Widera – ‘Tabu in the Heian period’.
Joanna Moszczyńska – ‘Tabu in the modern Japanese society’.
Malwina Mrówka – ‘Japanese Imperial family and their history’.
Patrycja Filipczak – ‘Kimono – the traditional Japanese outfit’.
Sunday, 26 February – lectures:
Katarzyna Krawczyk – ‘Generation gap in Japan and theJapanes lifestyle’.
Sylwia Matusiak – ‘Japanese monuments on the UNESCO cultural heritage list’.
Grzegorz Witczak – ‘Social changes in Japan at the beginning of the 21st century and after the earthquake in March 2011’.
Dariusz Szpakowski – ‘Bonsai – Japanese art of gardening’.

2) Meeting with Joanna Bator:
On the 16th February at 18:00 in Śródmiejskie Forum Kultury – Dom Literatury (ul. Roosevelta 17) there will be a meeting with Joanna Bator – author of the widely recognized book “Japoński wachlarz. Powroty.”
